Break-In At Boyle’s House

Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle received a surprise when she returned home last night – a male intruder.

A lot has happened to Boyle since last spring when her angelic delivery of “I Dreamed A Dream” on the reality talent show “Britain’s Got Talent” captivated the world and made her an overnight sensation. Suddenly famous, Boyle recorded a CD, paparazzi follow her every move and the Brit tabloids even gave her a one-name moniker – SuBo.

And now she has a stalker. Well, maybe not a stalker, but a mysterious intruder.

Boyle was returning to her home in Blackburn, Scotland, from London where she was recording “Help Haiti,” the all-star celebrity charity single helmed by Simon Cowell when she discovered a man in the house.

“Susan got home to find an intruder halfway up her stairs,” a friend of Boyle’s told London tabloid The Sun, adding that Boyle was “very very shocked” and that the man ran past her and out the door.

According to Associated Press, a man was held for questioning then released.

Workers were seen repairing Boyle’s front door last night and police installed a panic alarm, according to the paper.

This isn’t the first time uninvited guests have shown up at Boyle’s childhood home. Last Christmas, Boyle discovered two strangers staring in at her through a back window. Such is the price of fame.
