Wichita, Kan., city officials are discussing how to fund about $22 million in upgrades to the city’s aging convention center amid a still-sluggish economy.

The 40-year-old Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center is reportedly in need of upgrades such as new seats for its concert hall and repairs in general for various areas, according to the Wichita Eagle.

The city council is expected to vote on the upgrade plan at a Feb. 2 meeting.
