“Comedy Central’s House of Comedy,” a monthly stand-up showcase at House of Blues venues across the country, will premiere April 16 in Boston with 19-year-old comedian/singer/songwriter (and upcoming Pollstar Hotstar) Bo Burnham.

Burnham will launch the new showcase series with a taping of a new special “Bo Burnham: Words, Words, Words.”

Tickets for the show go on sale Feb. 26 online and are also available in advance at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre box office and the House of Blues Boston box office one hour prior to show time the day of the performance.

Burnham’s show will air sometime in 2010 and will be released with additional content on DVD and CD.

As part of the partnership between Comedy Central and House of Blues, the network will be integrated into the venue and its retail shops.

Info on upcoming “House of Comedy” events, as well as tickets, will be available on a newly created Web site accessible through Jokes.com in the near future.
