How do fans like Brooks’ Vegas shows at the Encore Theatre At Wynn? Apparently they don’t want to leave even after the night’s performance has concluded.

In one of those showbiz moments that’s going to be retold for years to come, Brooks left the Encore stage Feb. 12 after playing a two-our set, and sat down to dinner backstage. But his post-show meal was interrupted when a stagehand came up to him and said the audience was still in the theatre 15 minutes after Brooks had said his goodbyes.

Thinking the guy was joking, Brooks went to see for himself. Sure enough, the audience was still standing, hoping he would return. So Brooks obliged the fans by grabbing his guitar and playing an additional 45 minutes.

“I’ve never seen anything like it in my career,” Brooks said later that night.

The new dates are clustered in groups of three for each month – March 26-28, April 9-11, June 25-27, July 16-18 and Aug. 6-8. Tickets go on sale Feb. 27 at 8 a.m. Pacific Time, and are priced at $125 with service charges and taxes raising that amount to the out-the-door price of $143.
