Rosenberg Exits WBR

Liz Rosenberg, one of the best-known publicists in the music business, is leaving her post at Warner Bros. Records, but she isn’t traveling too far.

Rosenberg, who’s been associated with Madonna since the inception of the Material Girl’s career, is departing Warner after 39 years to start Liz Rosenberg Media.

She will still represent her longtime clients including Madonnna, Michael Buble, Cher, Stevie Nicks and David Foster, along with newcomers Charice and Katherine Jenkins, according to a statement.

With the blessing of Warner CEO Tom Whalley, she will represent several of the label’s artists as part of an ongoing consultancy with the company.

“No one has had a more thrilling ride than I have had during my decades at Warner Bros. Records where I grew up and learned my craft,” Rosenberg said in a statement. “I was given the opportunity to work with the most talented artists in music history. I’m grateful that I will continue to represent some of these artists.”

Rosenberg is expected to leave WBR at the end of February.
