Glambert Arrives

Adam Lambert practically steamrolled through Tokyo during a short promotional junket to plug his debut album, For Your Entertainment, which received a local release on Sony at the beginning of March.

In addition to performing at an invitation-only concert at Tokyo’s Club Eleven in full glitter regalia and with a complement of backup singers and dancers, Lambert also judged an “American Idol”-like talent show in which most of the contestants mimicked Lambert himself, or, at least, his fashion style.

He also did interviews including one on MTV Japan in which he talked openly about his homosexuality and the position of gays in American show biz, a topic that tends to be papered over in Japan when it comes to Japanese entertainers.
