Police Bust Flesh-N-Bone

The Plain Dealer reports that 50 officers and deputies arrested the rapper, whose real name is Stanley Howse, after Bone Thugs-N-Harmony played before a sold-out audience last night at Cleveland’s House Of Blues.

But it wasn’t as if the 36-year-old Flesh-N-Bone is some kind of Incredible Hulk capable of taking down scores of men by merely flicking his arm. Quoting an anonymous police source, the Plain Dealer reports the extra arrest power was needed because of the size of the audience, estimated to total more than 1,000 fans.

A 12-year-old warrant was the impetus. Several cops went backstage soon after the group began its set at 10:30 p.m. Shortly before midnight an emcee took the stage and announced that police had shut down the show, resulting in some fans shouting “We Want Bone!” while others yelled, “F**k the police!”

Sheriff’s spokesman John O’Brien told reporters deputies didn’t wait until the end of the show before arresting Howse because the rapper seemed to have noticed them. According to O’Brien, Howse invited audience members onstage and then tried to slip out.

Why was Howse arrested in the first place? O’Brien said the performer was wanted on domestic violence and felonious assault charges dating back to 1998 when the rapper was accused of striking his mother with a gun.
