The initiative is part of Lauper’s True Colors Fund, which is working to help advance lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.

Give A Damn! is a web-based campaign that features a series of videos featuring the singer and famous friends like Elton John, Whoopi Goldberg, Jason Mraz, Cynthia Nixon, Anna Paquin, Osbourne and her daughter Kelly, Judith Light, Kim Kardashian, Clay Aiken, Wanda Sykes, Eric Roberts and Kevin Alejandro.

The goal of the clips is to educate and engage the straight community, as well as enlist their help in gaining LGBT equality.

“In my life I’ve crossed paths with many different people and I’ve seen firsthand what it means to be discriminated against,” Lauper said. “I’ve come to realize equality means a lot to people who don’t have it and that, as a straight person, I have a responsibility to stand u for gay and transgender people each and every day. We all have to get involved; we all have to give a damn.”
