Waters Returns To ‘The Wall’
For many fans of The Wall, the upcoming tour will be their first chance to experience the aural masterpiece in its entirety. Although Pink Floyd played more than 30 shows on the 1980-81 “The Wall Tour,” all dates were multiple runs in major cities with the band playing only two U.S. towns – Los Angeles which hosted seven shows, and E. Rutherford, N.J. Uniondale, N.Y., where the band played five engagements. The tour also played eleven shows in London in 1980 and ’81 and eight gigs in Dortmund in 1981.
One of the more spectacular productions of The Wall was 1990 in Berlin when Waters mounted a star-studded rendition of the album to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The Live Nation-produced tour promises state-of-the-art production as well as Rogers performing with a full band.
