Drama on Supafest Tour

The inaugural urban tour Supafest brought six international urban stars downunder, including Akon, Kelly Rowland, Pitbull, Eve, Sean Paul and Jay Sean. But it also had its share of troubles.

Headliner Akon reportedly missed the first show in Adelaide after being delayed in Los Angeles for 24 hours.

At the second show, in Melbourne, he went on three minutes after the 10:30 p.m. curfew, allegedly because his stage costumes were delivered late.

Police, apprehensive that the 10,000-strong crowd might riot, let him to stay on until 11:25 before pulling the plug mid-song.

When the tour arrived in Sydney, Kelly Rowland angrily attacked Qantas Airways cabin staff, accusing them of treating her entourage “as 5-year-olds.”

It turned out that one of her staffers sat in the wrong seat and refused to move, and two others continually refused to turn off their cell phones and laptops.
