Outside Lands Announces No. 3

As with the two previous Outside Lands festivals, this year’s event takes place at the city’s Golden Gate Park. Benefiting the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department, Outside Land is all about the city and celebrates four major aspects of San Francisco culture – music, food, wine and technology.

Presented by Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Productions and Starr Hill Presents, Outside Lands will announce its lineup June 1.

But you don’t have to wait more than three weeks to purchase tickets. A limited number of lower-priced “Eager Beaver” tickets will go on sale May 7 at 10 a.m. PDT.

Meanwhile, we couldn’t keep from salivating over the list of Bay Area restaurants that will be represented at this year’s Outside Lands. Like cilantro lime chicken skewers from Asqew Grill and the wood-fired flatbread pizza from Full of Life Flatbread.

And we were really excited about the news that local eatery Let’s Be Frank will provide “100 percent grass-fed beef hot dogs” and “family raised turkey dogs” if only because we’ve never been very successful feeding grass to our beef hotdogs, and we’ve had similar bad luck trying to raise turkey dogs. That’s why you should leave such matters to the experts.
