The Pizza’s Back On

Just when it looked as if it was about to serve up its last quatre formaggio, London’s Pizza On The Park restaurant/jazz club has been granted a stay of execution.

A wave of protest from jazz fans and music journalists has resulted in the venue being given the opportunity to extend its lease for another three months. It had been expected to shut in June.

The planned closing events will still take place in June and it’s hoped the extra three months on the lease will give campaigners time to put together a longer term rescue. The venue’s now booking shows through to the end of September.
