AEO Naming Rights

Clothing retailer American Eagle Outfitters announced June 4 it has inked a naming-rights agreement for the entertainment complex under construction near Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field.

Under the deal, the facility will be named Stage AE. Terms were not disclosed.

“Music is an important part of our customers’ lives, as well as the AE brand experience,” AEO executive VP Fred Grover said in a statement. “Add in the association with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and this becomes an ideal opportunity for AEO, Inc., as a proud Pittsburgh-based company.”

Stage AE will be open year-round featuring a 2,400-capacity indoor venue, 5,500-capacity outdoor amphitheatre and a 400-capacity nightclub, according to the statement.

The facility, owned and operated by a partnership between the Pittsburgh Steelers, PromoWest Productions and Continental Real Estate, is expected to be completed by fall.
