Aaron Lewis & Friends Acoustic Benefit Show

Aaron Lewis has gathered a few of his talented buddies for an acoustic benefit show in support of the Staind frontman’s charity, It Takes A Community Foundation.

The “Aaron Lewis & Friends” show takes place Aug. 14 at The Pines Theater in Northampton, Mass.

Lewis will be joined by 3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold and guitarist Chris Henderson along with bassist/vocalist Brendan Kelly (of The Lawrence Arms and The Falcon) and hard rock band Lo-Pro.

It Takes A Community Foundation was founded by Lewis and his wife Vanessa to help revive rural communities throughout the greater New England area by raising funds to support community groups that are working to engage their communities, sustain public services and provide assistance to communities in crisis.

For its first major project, the foundation has set its sights on raising funds to support the Community Education Center in Worthington, Mass. The funds will help the school smoothly make the transition from a district run facility to a community school.

“My family has been directly affected by school closures in our rural area due to state budget cuts,” Lewis said. “We have seen firsthand the necessity for smaller communities to have a voice and to determine their own local needs and priorities. Our foundation strives to do just that – to build a collective of local community members and empower them to take charge of their own community’s future.”

Tickets are available for purchase online, over the phone and in person at Faces, 175 Main St. in Northampton.
