Etihad Stadium’s New Venue

Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium complex, which hosted crowds of up to 80,000 for arena shows by U2, AC/DC and Robbie Williams, is taking suggestions from promoters.

It is developing a 20,000-capacity venue for rock acts within its structure. It will be positioned between the 15,000-capacity Rod Laver Arena and the 30,000-seat AAMI Park.

The venue will open in November with shows by Peter Gabriel, Chicago, America and Peter Frampton.
