Heartbreakers To Give Cleveland Another Go
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers were forced to postpone last night’s scheduled show at the Blossom Music Center near Cleveland after doctors ordered a few days rest for guitarist Mike Campbell. A new date is now on the schedule and Campbell is reportedly doing fine.
Campbell’s health problems began Sunday evening during a show in St. Louis when the area’s notorious summer heat / humidity one-two punch caused him to faint. Although he wasn’t physically injured, doctors told him to rest a few days, hence last night’s postponement.
As it turns out fans in the Cleveland area will only have to wait a few weeks for their live Petty / Heartbreakers fix, as the group now plans to play Blossom Aug. 31.
As to Campbell’s condition, the Tom Petty website reports he is expected to be released today and will join the band when it plays The Palace Of Auburn Hills near Detroit July 22.
