Costner Dismisses Suit

Kevin Costner has dismissed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit he’d filed against a concert promoter who allegedly backed out of a deal to work with his band.

Los Angeles court records show Costner’s suit against Richard Mahee and Mahee Worldwide Ventures was dismissed mid-July but no other details were made public.

Costner sued Mahee in April 2007, claiming the company reneged on booking the Kevin Costner Band for about five shows a year and handle marketing for a two-year period.

Mahee reportedly filed for bankruptcy, which kept the case from moving forward.
