Grinding It Out
Grinderman, the band made up by Nick Cave and Bad Seeds cohorts Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos, goes to work this fall beginning in Phoenix, hitting clubs and theatres through Dec. 1.
Cave’s fans know the deal behind Grinderman as the group’s self-titled first album released in ‘07 featured a more stripped down, raw sound than his work with The Bad Seeds. The second album, appropriately named Grinderman 2, drops Sept. 14.
Grinderman puts its collective noses to the touring stone beginning Nov. 11 in Toronto at Phoenix, stops in Montreal for a show at Metropolis Nov. 12 and plays Boston’s House Of Blues Nov. 13 before cruising into the Big Apple for a performance at New York City’s Nokia Theatre Times Square. Other stops include Washington, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
