Taylor’s Swift iTunes Climb

Taylor Swift’s new single wasn’t supposed to drop for another two weeks. That is, until it leaked onto the ‘Net. Now it’s on iTunes and doing very, very well.

The song, “Mine,” from Swift’s upcoming album, Speak Now, was supposed to go to radio Aug. 16, according to Country Weekly. But those plans are all forgotten now as her label immediately issued it to iTunes following Internet leaks.

Swift was headed to Japan, where she’ll appear at the festivals in Osaka and Tokyo this weekend, when she tweeted about how quickly the song shot to the top of iTunes’ charts.

“I landed in Japan and got 20 texts and looked at iTunes and got tears in my eyes. And so, we begin again. :)”
