Switchfoot Shutdown

An impromptu performance behind the 1-800 Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa, Fla., was promptly shut down by police after Switchfoot’s lead singer scheduled a tweet-up with fans following a concert.

Switchfoot opened for the Goo Goo Dolls at the shed Aug. 15, and frontman Jon Foreman gave word on Twitter that he’d play solo after the show.

But a YouTube video of the event shows a police officer breaking up the gig just a few songs into Foreman’s acoustic set in front of a group of fans.

“Thanks for singing along friends! We’ll get the cops singing along next time,” the singer tweeted after he was escorted from the premises.
