Freestyle Freefall

A foreclosure suit filed by the mortgage holder of Freestyle Music Park in South Carolina was followed by the resignations of all but one member of the park’s board in August.

Former board president Steve Baker told The Sun News of Myrtle Beach that the former Hard Rock Park’s future is grim with no one close to buying the attraction that was sold in bankruptcy court last year for $25 million.

The park cost $400 million to build and opened in 2008. It has been closed since operating for one full season in 2009 as Freestyle Amusement Park after a hasty name change.
