The Crowes Fried
The band was expected to play to more than 1,000 fans, who were informed about an hour after starting time that the show would not go on.
“Right after they uncovered the [mixing] console, there was a heavy downpour that blew in really fast, that blew out the console and the amps,” Ryan Creek Meadows co-owner Keli Hansen told the Missoulian. “You know how it is here in Montana – sometimes you get a rain that’s coming at you from three directions – and this one just blew in really fast and I guess it managed to affect the equipment, even though it was all covered up.”
The lack of a P.A. meant it was difficult for staff to communicate to the crowd.
Ryan Creek Meadows is a 200-acre site that began hosting concerts last year.
