J-Lo Rumors Abound

Has Jennifer Lopez signed on to be the next “American Idol” judge? Apparently yes, and for $12 million, but everything else about the deal appears to be smothered in dis-info.

The Lopez negotiations have been covered in detail by Deadline Hollywood and TMZ. But although Deadline has reported J-Lo wanted Diva-esque demands, a $15 million minimum and a FOX network movie tie-in, sources told TMZ negotiations were “normal” and the rumors come from people with a grudge who are in direct competition with the show.

Whatever the case, it appears she’s decided she needs “American Idol” more than they need her – Simon Cowell earned $45 million from the show last year and Howard Stern reportedly demanded $100 million minimum. A $12 million Lopez is a comparatively sweet deal.
