Hilton May Still Owe For Film Flop

The judge in the Worldwide Entertainment receivership’s suit against Paris Hilton for allegedly failing to promote “National Lampoon’s Pledge This!” has determined Hilton could still be on the hook for $160,000.

That’s the value of two promo opportunities Hilton failed to deliver for the Jack Utsick-produced film, U.S. District Court Judge Federico Moreno ruled Aug. 31.

Court papers reveal her handlers quickly realized “Pledge This!” was destined for cut-out bins in early 2007 and wanted to move on to Hilton’s next cinematic epic, “The Hottie & The Nottie.”

To find Hilton was “unjustly enriched” by collecting her full fee yet failing to perform $160,000 worth of PR, the court must be convinced the rest of her services toward the film total less than the $1 million she was paid by Worldwide Entertainment.

The parties have until Oct. 15 to make their cases.
