Halifax Concert Unsettled

A Canadian promoter reportedly has yet to settle up with some suppliers from a July 24 concert on the Halifax Commons that was scaled down from two days to one amid “scheduling difficulties.”

Representatives from Commercial Tent Rentals and Sales, which supplied food, merchandizing and VIP tents for the Halifax Rocks 2010 concert, told the local Chronicle Herald the company has yet to be paid in full by promoter Power Events.

“We have worked with them before and we’ve always been paid in the past,” Commercial Tent’s Allen McCandless told the paper.

Power Events’ Harold MacKay told the paper the company was in contact with all suppliers and that “they should be fully aware of payment terms.”

The concert included Black Eyed Peas, Weezer, Classified, Hot Hot Heat, Rich Aucoin and Chad Hatcher.
