Diamond To Shine In South Africa

Neil Diamond has four shows in South Africa scheduled for April. Could this be the opening salvo of a global tour?

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen any Diamond dates other than his Oct. 30 appearance as part of the series in London. Today’s announcement heralding the South Africa shows also talks up Diamond’s Twitter and Facebook pages for “up to the minute updates and special announcements.” Sounds like something’s cookin’ in Diamond-land.

The four South African dates are at stadiums built for the FIFA Soccer World Cup, beginning with an April 2 show at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The next concert on the schedule is April 5 in Durban at Moses Mabhida Stadium followed by April 8 in Port Elizabeth at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium and April 11 in Cape Town at Green Point Stadium.
