Ticket Factory Makes 3A Deal

Birmingham-based The Ticket Factory has continued its rapid expansion by cutting a deal to run 3A Entertainment’s Bookings Direct.

London-based 3A handles UK tours for acts including Kylie Minogue, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Roger Waters, and Paul Weller. See Tickets previously handled 3A’s ticketing.

According to Pollstar’s mid-year figures, 3A was the world’s seventh-biggest promoter, shifting 812,279 tickets in the first six months of 2010.

Since starting out in October 2007 as the in-house ticket-seller for Birmingham’s LG Arena, the National Indoor Arena, and the National Exhibition Centre, The Ticket Factory has grown rapidly and now services outside clients including Haymarket exhibitions and the Chelsea Flower Show. It currently sells 2 million tickets per year.

“Winning the operation of Bookings Direct recognises The Ticket Factory’s prominent position in the UK ticketing market,” said NEC Group Arenas and The Ticket Factory managing director Phil Mead.
