Cambodian-based organizer Mekong Sessions posted a message on its website stating Cohen’s Nov. 27 concert in Phnom Penh has been postponed until an unspecified future date sometime after the conclusion of the singer/songwriter’s current world tour.

The statement went on to say Cohen will make “a significant humanitarian donation reflecting his immense goodwill to the nation of Cambodia.”

Fans who purchased their tickets with cash can obtain full refunds through the organizer’s Phnom Penh office.

That’s right. Cash. Apparently there are other ways to purchase tickets in Cambodia. The Phnom Penh Post said “no provisions were outlined for the refund of tickets purchased through non-cash transactions.”

While that might mean credit cards or checks, we can’t help wondering if bartering came into play, something along the lines of trading farm animals or jewelry for ducats. Hmmm… Maybe that’s something Ticketmaster should explore.
