Fresh 30 Seconds To Mars Dates

30 Seconds To Mars announces a Jan.-Feb. tour, adds more awards to its trophy shelf and hooks up with a tech company to give you a chance to win a meet-and-greet at the band’s Atlanta show.

This has been a good year for 30STM, what with the late-2009 album, This Is War reaching No. 1 on the alternative album airplay charts and the band adding to its ever-growing trophy shelf. Latest honor for Jared Leto and Co. is the MTV Europe Music Award for best rock band, bringing the band’s MTV EMA total to four.

The band recently released a deluxe edition of This Is War that includes “Hurricane 2.0” featuring Kanye West plus live versions of West’s “Stronger” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” which the band recorded for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. The deluxe edition also includes “Kings & Queens and “Closer To The Edge” videos as well as bonus DVD content.

Produced by Live Nation and presented by HP, the tour begins with two nights in San Diego at House Of Blues Jan. 11-12. The band then heads up the coast, playing Pomona at The Fox Jan. 14; the San Jose Events Center Jan. 15; Davis, Calif., at Freeborn Hall Jan. 17 and Seattle’s Paramount Theatre Jan. 18.

Other stops as the band crosses the country include Denver (Jan. 21), Dallas (Jan. 23-24), Atlanta (Jan. 28) and Niagara Falls, N.Y. (Feb. 2) before wrapping in Wallingford, Conn., at Toyota Presents The Oakdale Theatre Feb. 5.

What’s HP’s connection with the tour? That is, other than slapping its name on the outing? The tech company is using the tour to show you how much better your life will become as soon as you start printing from your mobile device to an HP ePrint-enabled printer from anywhere in the world via e-mail.

To do this, HP is conducting two promotions coinciding with the 30 Seconds To Mars tour. In the “HP ePrint Contest” fans first snap photos depicting themselves as the world’s 30STM fans and then e-mail those photos directly to the band’s HP printer, with the biggest band, as selected by the band, winning a trip to see the boys perform in Atlanta.

The second promotion – ePrint Your HP Entry – gives ticket holders the opportunity to print to their venue box office and receive $15 Live Nation Concert Cash or a chance to meet-n-greet the band at the show.

Tickets for the new 2011 dates go on sale Nov. 19. For more information, click here for the 30 Seconds To Mars website.
