ACL Live At The Moody Theater Announces Lineup
Along with providing state-of-the-art technology in a venue where no seat is more than 75 feet from the stage, ACL Live will also be the new home for PBS’ “Austin City Limits,” the longest running music show in TV history.
But before we dive into the schedule we need to tell you about two special shows – Cody Canada & The Departed Feb. 11 and Los Amigos Invisibles with Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue Feb. 18. Both gigs are special $5 open houses with that low, low price made possible by the United Heritage Credit Union and benefiting the Health Alliance For Austin Musicians (HAAM).
Here’s how the schedule for ACL Live At Moody Theater is shaping up. So far the venue’s opening month, February, appears to be the busiest with Imagination Movers (Feb. 10), Cody Canada & The Departed (Feb. 11), Willie Nelson (Feb. 13-14), Los Amigos Invisibles / Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (Feb. 18), Styx (Feb. 19), Gipsy Kings (Feb. 22) and Diana Ross (Feb. 27).
Only one show – James Cotton (Superharp) and Shemekia Copeland (March 25) – is scheduled for March while the April calendar lists John Mellencamp (April 2), Jeff Beck (April 5), Tony Bennett (April 27) and Blue October (April 29).
Tickets for Willie Nelson, Cody Canada & The Departed and Los Amigos Invisibles / Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue go up Nov. 26 at noon Austin time and Imagination Movers, Styx, Gipsy Kings and John Mellencamp go on sale Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. Diana Ross, James Cotton (Superharp) and Jeff Beck begin selling Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. and Blue October goes up Dec. 10 at high noon.
