Parton Talks Tour, New Album

The album of new material will be released on the singer’s own imprint, Dolly Records. Although no tour dates have been released, a message on Parton’s website indicates she’ll play the United States in early summer followed by a Euro leg.

Last week, Parton received the “Applause” award from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions for her theme park Dollywood, which opened in 1986 in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

“I’m just honored and proud,” Parton told Associated Press. “I’m excited that this is our 25th anniversary for Dollywood, that we won it this year, and that I had a chance to be here.”
