Cook To Be Repaid $12M

Dane Cook’s half brother and his wife have been ordered to repay the comedian $12 million by the Attorney General of Massachusetts in connection with an embezzlement case for which the couple is serving time in prison.

Darryl and Erica McCauley were accused of embezzling millions from Cook while Darryl served as his business manager for about 18 years.

Harry Pierre, a spokesman for the Massachusetts AG’s office, told the Portsmouth Herald the couple’s assets will be tallied.

The McCauleys were also ordered to relinquish their interest in several properties and businesses in Maine and Massachusetts that were purchased with the stolen money, he said.

The McCauleys reportedly purchased several condominiums and invested millions in a resort complex and a restaurant in York Beach, Maine. With the closure of their criminal cases, civil lawsuits against the McCauleys in Massachusetts and Maine may now move forward, the Herald reported.
