Yusuf Announces Euro Run

The artist formerly known as Cat Stevens announces his first European tour since Gerald Ford lived in the White House.

Yes, it was back in 1976, the year NASA released the “Face on Mars” photo, when then-unknowns Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs created a company called Apple and an obscure Irish drummer named Larry Mullen Jr. formed a band named after a U.S. spy plane, that Cat Stevens’ Majikat Earth Tour covered Europe.

Stevens converted to Islam in 1977 and changed his name to Yusuf one year later, marking his departure from the pop music world.

Yusuf’s “Roadsinger” tour European begins May 7 in Herning, Denmark, at the Jyske Bank Boxen. Other stops include Hamburg at the O2 World May 10; Berlin at the O2 World May 14; Rotterdam at the Ahoy May 20; Paris at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy May 26; Vienna at Wiener Stadthalle May 31 and Brussels at Forest National June 2.
