A man wearing a Bob Dylan backstage pass walked into Antonio’s pizzeria in Amherst, Mass., Nov. 19 and ordered up some pizzas for Dylan’s crew.

The request came a few hours after the troubadour performed at the nearby University of Massachusetts and the man asked for 178 pizzas for what must have been perceived as a production crew of 2,000 people.

Workers at Antonio’s stayed up until 5:30 a.m. making the pies, which were never picked up.

The order was worth $4,000; some pizzas were given away but most were thrown out. Now, Sean Cleary, attorney for the New Jersey man, says his client feels bad about the prank and will repay the pizzeria, although Cleary would not disclose the amount of the payment.

He also did not reveal his client’s identity but offered that he is a “decent enough” guy with no criminal record.
