Allmans Beef Up Beacon Run
The additional shows represent a benchmark of sorts for The Allman Brothers Band, bringing the group’s lifelong number of gigs at the venue to 200, a figure that might have been met last year if only scheduling conflicts hadn’t forced the residency to switch to the United Palace.
This year’s NYC residency, which has been taking place since 1989, also marks the 40th anniversary of the band’s classic live album, At The Fillmore East. Recorded during a two-night stand in March 1971, At The Fillmore East has since been chosen by the Library of Congress to be included in the National Recording Registry.
The new Beacon dates are March 21-22 & 24-26 and go on sale Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. For more information, click here for The Allman Brothers Band website.
