For those who’ve been away from the Internet for 48 hours, Williams is a homeless man with the “golden radio voice.” He won’t be homeless for long, possibly accepting a spot as the voice for the Cleveland Cavaliers (although the NFL is trying to bid for him, too.)

Meanwhile, Williams credits his recovery to his Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor and good friend Alfred Battle, concert promoter and leader of Battleplan Show Band. Not only did Battle support him, but when Williams was down and out would offer him voiceover work on his TV spots for upcoming concerts.

We’re trying to get in touch with Battleplan Promotions right now. But look what we found: Here’s a TV spot for a show that Battle put on in 2008. Who says surfing the web on business hours doesn’t pay off?
