Coheed And Cambria 10th Anniversary Tour
In fall 2008 the band booked four-night stands in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and London. The Neverender tour featured Coheed And Cambria playing one of the band’s four studio albums in full each night. The four nights at Terminal 5 in New York were recorded and released as the “Neverender: Children of the Fence Edition” live CD/DVD box set.
Frontman Claudio Sanchez explained that the Neverender tour inspired the band’s 2011 spring tour.
“Neverender was such a big event for us and our fans and we constantly get requests to do it again,” Sanchez said. “So we felt since it was our 10-year anniversary we’d create an event with that in mind, but a little different, and first and foremost to be able to take it to more cities, rather than just the top two or three in the US.”
The “Neverender: Second Stage Turbine Blade – An Evening With Coheed And Cambria” Tour will feature the band performing its 2002 debut album The Second Stage Turbine Blade in addition to a rare 30-40 minute acoustic set as well as extra songs from other albums.
The trek begins April 8 at The Midland by AMC in Kansas City, Mo., with dates booked through a May 11 gig at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.
The 23-date tour also features stops at Palladium Ballroom in Dallas (April 9), The Tabernacle in Atlanta (April 14), 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (April 20), Electric Factory in Philadelphia (April 26), Kool Haus in Toronto (April 27) and Showbox SoDo in Seattle (May 5).
A limited number of pre-sale tickets will be available to club members on Wednesday at 3 p.m., local time.
Tickets for most cities go on sale to the general public Friday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m.
