Steve Kurtz Dies

Steve Kurtz, 48, former manager of Christina Aguilera, died Jan. 25.

Kurtz was considered influential in launching Aguilera’s career. The two later ended their relationship amid lawsuits.

Aguilera was discontented with the bubblegum pop of her debut album, and determined Kurtz was responsible.

She also suggested Kurtz may have siphoned off some of her money.

Aguilera has been managed by Irving Azoff since 2000.

Kurtz’s Marquee Management included clients Kim Sozzi, Tina Novak, Jenn Cuneta and Sasha Lazard.
