Scalpers To Face Cap?

South Australia’s scalpers face a 10 percent cap on reselling tickets, under a push by the state’s Greens party.

Their consumer affairs spokeswoman, Tammy Franks, said legislation is needed as fans are getting ripped off. Franks cited Justin Bieber’s $95 tickets being advertised online for $210.

“This problem is going to worsen as more South Australian music and sport events get sold out,” she said.

It will be introduced to when SA Parliament reconvenes next month as a Private Member’s Bill. It could take up to 18 months to become law.
