Van Halen’s Guitar Washington Bound

You know that guitar Eddie Van Halen used during the band’s 2007-08 tour with David Lee Roth? It’s going to have its own gig at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

The axe going to Washington is a red, white and blue guitar, dubbed “Frank 2” that is a replica of the original “Frankenstein” guitar Van Halen played for more than three decades, according to CNN. Van Halen retired “Frankenstein” in 2006.
