Wiz Khalifa Rolls Out ‘Green Carpet Tour’
Joining the eighth installment of the “Campus Consciousness Tour,” the rapper plans to keep everything bio-friendly, from his tour bus running on biodiesel fuel to biodegradable and recyclable products used backstage.
Consisting of several college stops, “The Green Carpet Tour” launches in North Carolina at the Raleigh Amphitheater April 1 before heading to several hallowed institutes of higher learning. Destinations include the Convocation Center at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., April 3; Virginia Tech University’s Burruss Auditorium in Blacksburg April 3 and the Convocation Center at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti April 4.
Other schools on the routing include Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania (April 6), University Of Rhode Island (April 7), University Of New Hampshire (April 8), Northern Illinois University (April 13), Purdue University (April 14), Indiana University (April 15), University Of Illinois (April 16), Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale (April 19), University Of Central Florida (April 20), Florida State University (April 21), Auburn University (April 22) and Penn State University in State College (April 26).
Along with the tour’s environmental message, Khalifa will be supporting his upcoming album, Rolling Papers, which drops March 29. In celebration of the disc’s arrival, the rapper will perform at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom the night of the release.
