Yoko Going To SXSW

Yoko Ono heads for Austin and the annual SXSW music festival, sitting for an interview one day, performing the next.

Ono will chat with Austin radio personality Jody Denberg March 18. Considering how many different ways that conversation will go, we hesitate to speculate on what topics will be covered. SXSW’s announcement mentions Ono’s involvement with international artists’ organization Fluxus that flourished during the 1960s as well as the Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland. Of course, there’s always the chance the entire conversation will be about John Lennon. That subject never ceases to amaze.

The latest album for the redesigned Plastic Ono Band, the Sean Lennon co-produced Between My Head And The Sky, is on the Chimera Music imprint and Ono will be a special guest at Chimera Music Night At The Elysium in Austin March 19.
