Duran Duran’s SXSW Plans

An interview and a performance are in the works for Duran Duran at SXSW.

The band will be a featured speaker at this year’s mega music event in Austin, Texas, and will sit for an interview at the Austin Convention Center March 17.

The performance comes one day earlier when Duran Duran plays Time Out’s showcase at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q March 16.

The SXSW gig launches a string of dates taking the band to both coasts as well as a stop in the Sooner State, playing the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla., March 18.

Miami’s Ultra Music Festival is also on the schedule with Duran Duran slotted for March 25. April brings the group to the West Coast, performing in San Francisco at The Fillmore April 16 and playing the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival April 17.

Expect more North America dates to be announced. Duran Duran launches its United Kingdom tour May 18 in Newcastle Upon Tyne at the Metro Radio Arena.

Three months after the digital release, Duran Duran’s 13th full-length studio album, All You Need Is Now, will ship in physical form on S-Curve Records March 22. For more information, click here for the Duran Duran website.
