Terry Butler Dies

Global Spectrum’s John Page has released the following statement:

Earlier this morning we lost a dear friend. Our colleague, Terry Butler, who had served as our General Manager at the Ryan Center and Boss ice Arena at the University of Rhode Island, passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was well respected in the industry and loved by the URI community, as well as all of us in his Global Spectrum family.

Terry was a very positive and upbeat person with a great sense of humor. This was epitomized in the way he dealt with his cancer the first time around and even more so when he first learned that the cancer was back about a month and a half ago.

While he exuded confidence and a positive attitude throughout, he took a turn for the worse yesterday and was admitted to the ICU where he died early this morning. Fortunately, Terry’s family was with him at the time.

Please keep Terry in your thoughts. As soon as more information is available from his family I’ll pass it along. I am available to personally discuss this with any of you at anytime. Thanks!
