Scheduled to drop April 12 on Hear Music/Concord Music Group, So Beautiful Or So What was hailed as “His best since Graceland,” by Rolling Stone while NPR called the songwriter a “national treasure.” Hmmm… sounds as if Simon has belted another out of the park.

Promising selections from the new album as well a generous helping of his hits along with a few surprises, Simon begins the trek at Seattle’s WAMU Theatre April 15, plays two nights in Los Angeles at the Pantages Theatre April 20-21, stops in San Francisco for a show at Davies Symphony Hall April 25 then crosses the Bay for a performance at Oakland’s Fox Theatre April 26. Other stops include Minneapolis (May 2), Toronto (May 6), New York (May 10-11), Chicago (May 17), Washington, D.C. (May 25), and Atlantic City (May 28). Last stop on the newly released routing is Boston at the Wang Theatre June 1.

Simon will also hit late night TV, appearing two consecutive nights on NBC’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” April 6-7.

Simon’s touring band consists of Cameroonian guitarist Vincent Nguini, drummer Jim Oblon, Mick Rossi on piano, saxophonist/keyboardist Andrew Snitzer, Bakithi Kumalo on bass, guitarist Mark Stewart, percussionist Jamey Haddad and multi-instrumentalist Tony Cedras.

Ticket sales for several markets go on sale March 11. Visit Paul Simon’s website for more information plus a two-song preview of So Beautiful Or So What. While we’re at it, be sure to drop in on the songwriter’s Facebook page.
