AC/DC Avoids Fine

AC/DC avoided a huge fine after exceeding noise restrictions at the Subiaco Oval in Perth over two shows March 6 and march 8 in 2010 in front of 100,000 fans.

Authorities received 37 complaints, some from suburbs miles away.

Subiaco CEO Stephen Tindale admitted the council had considered legal action against AC/DC.

“We did look at it but decided it wouldn’t work,” he said.

Instead it gave tour promoter Garry Van Egmond a bill for the $2,285 it cost to monitor noise at the concerts.
