Irving Ave?

A city alderman in Danville, Ill., believes the town’s “Celebrity Way,” which honors locals who’ve made their way in this world, is bereft of at least one big name: Irving Azoff.

Terry Baldwin is suggesting the “Celebrity Way” committee consider Azoff getting a sign near the city’s David S. Palmer Arena.

He is also suggesting education leader Reggie Weaver get a sign along the Way, according to Illinois’ News-Gazette newspaper.

Azoff is a Danville High graduate who attended the University of Illinois. Celebrity Way already honors Danville celebs like Dick Van Dyke, Gene Hackman, Donald O’Connor, Joe Ganner and Uncle Joe Cannon.
