The band, which formed in 1991 in Chapel Hill, N.C., broke up in late 1998. That year Archers Of Loaf released its fourth and final full-length studio album, White Trash Heroes.

In January the group surprised fans with an unannounced set opening for The Love Language at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, N.C.

Archers Of Loaf will take to the stage in North Carolina once again when they kick off their reunion tour May 21 at The Grey Eagle. The band will also return to Cat’s Cradle for an Aug. 19 headlining show.

Dates have been booked through a two-night stand Sept. 2-3 at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.

Additional stops along the way include shows in West Hollywood, Calif. (June 3-4); Austin, Texas (June 11); New York (June 26); Chicago (July 8-9); Atlanta (July 22-23); Washington, D.C. (Aug. 5) and Philadelphia (Aug. 6).

A presale for American Express cardmembers begins Wednesday, April 13. Select dates go on sale to the general public April 15 and 16.

Fans can also catch Archers Of Loaf at the sold-out May 29 in Quincy, Wash.
