Nicki Minaj Joins Britney Tour
The “Femme Fatale” tour was announced March 29 as footage of Spears’ free San Francisco show aired on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” While the announcement claimed Enrique Iglesias would accompany Brit on the outing, rumblings from the Latin music star’s camp quickly indicated otherwise. Sure enough, 24 hours after the original tour announcement came word that Iglesias was off the run.
Since then the most-mentioned artist to replace Iglesias was rising star Nicki Minaj. Now it’s official with Minaj joining a lineup that includes opening acts Jessie and The Toy Boys and Nervo, making the “Femme Fatale” moniker true to its name by presenting an all-female bill.
The tour begins in June 16 in Sacramento at the Power Balance Pavilion and wraps in Aug. 13 in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre. Ticket sales begin April 30. For more information, visit BritneySpears.com.
