Lil’ Wayne Moves L.A. Date

Lil’ Wayne has moved his April 21 Los Angeles gig at the Staples Center to April 22. However, the rap superstar has a pretty good reason for the switch and it’s not illness, scheduling difficulties or any of the usual explanations for pushing a show back. Instead, it’s all about Stanley.

That’s “Stanley” as in Stanley Cup Playoffs. Turns out the Los Angeles Kings will compete in the first round as the team takes on the San Jose Sharks at, you guessed it, the Staples Center.

So Lil’ Wayne fans unaware of the switcheroo just might show up at Staples the evening of April 21 only to discover a hockey game has broken out.

According to Staples’ website, all tickets for the Lil’ Wayne concert, that also includes Nicki Minaj, Porcelain, Travis Barker and Rick Ross, will be honored on April 22. Of course, if the new date doesn’t work for you, you can obtain a refund at the point of purchase. Don’t have tickets? There are still some left. Visit StaplesCenter.com for more information.
